The Adirondack Center for the Arts (Arts Center) is a multi-arts center serving year-round and seasonal residents of the beautiful Eckford Lakes region in the Central Adirondacks. It exists to promote visual and performing arts through performances, workshops, exhibits and educational programs of general interest.

The Arts Center is located in Blue Mountain Lake, NY a small mountain community in the heart of the Adirondack Park, the largest state forest preserve in the continental U. S. The Centers annual schedule includes diverse performances and workshops for people of all ages and exhibits in all media by established and emerging artists from around the world. The summer concert series ranges from a cappella jazz to classical to Appalachian folk to Canadian roots music.

The Arts Center is also home to one of the few preschools in Hamilton County. The whole experience of the child is important to us. We create an environment that fosters appropriate opportunities for growth and development of a 3-5 year old child's self awareness and self-esteem, social skills, pre-academic skills, and Community awareness.

Hamilton County receives funds annually from the New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA) Dcentralization Program to ber re-granted to County non-profit organizations for the arts and cultural programming. These funds are administered in Hamilton County by the Arts Center. This money is granted for programs in any art discipline including: architecture, photography, dance, theatre, visual arts, crafts, or music. Non-profit groups of all kinds, and committees recognized as official arms of local government may apply for the funds.

The Arts Center is chartered by the New York Board of Regents as a private, non-profit educational corporation and provides students with college-level educational opportunities in the form of internships. Hiking, boating and many other recreational opportunities abound in the area, and the world-renowned Adirondack Museum lies just one mile north.
